SPARK EduCare CIC

Community Interest Companies (CIC) are part of the third sector and are regulated by the CIC regulator. For more information on CICs, please look on the CIC regulator’s website (www.cicregulator.gov.uk).

SPARK EDUCARE Community Interest Company (CIC) is a community learning resource centre run on a not-for-profit and charitable basis with the aim of  furthering the education of young people who are, for any reason, not in mainstream education.

In cases of school exclusion, SPARK EduCare CIC works in conjunction with schools and parents and prepares written reports designed to set up alternative education provision tailored to appropriate individual needs and monitored by our trained staff.

We work with a range of children and young people, including pupils:

  • With substantial learning difficulties
  • Who have been excluded from school
  • Who are at a disadvantage due to poverty
  • Who have been victims of bullying and abuse

We run homework clubs for children experiencing `mild` or occasional difficulties in completing school homework assignments, and pupils who have `fallen behind` with their learning as a consequence of school absences or similar obstacles to their learning.  We also hold family fun days for young people and their families including dance, drama, music, arts and crafts workshops.   Do get in touch with us to find out more about these activities and what is on offer generally. Call SPARK on 0118 986 3377 for further information.
